|
|
The annual
abseiling charity down the Marquess of Angelsey's Column began on a lovely
sunshine day with many people travelling from as far as Holyhead, Manchester
and Mid-Wales. Last year approximately
£32,000 pounds was raised for the RNIB and this year £22,250
making a massive £54,250 pounds in two years on this event. A total
of 164 people abseiled over the two days and below is a list of the top
fund raisers:
Although only the top fund raisers have been listed it is a big thank you from the RNIB to every person who took part as every amount counts - THANK YOU |

Many people watched by the cottage in glorious sunshine as family abseiled the column. Louise Aubrey and her team organized the abseilers and Ron Holden from Mold, on behalf of the RNIB, supplied uplifting music such as Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell. |

| On hand from Lonely Mountain were Mark, John and Chris. Above left shows Mark giving a helping hand whilst above right show John and, Colleen from the RNIB, supporting from the top. Also supporting for safety was Pat Humphreys and Jenny Evans from the British Red Cross. | ![]() |
