Rhonda & Anna

It was the first time for Rhonda Cowap(left) and Anna Geurtjens(right).

Before her climb up the stairs to the top of the column, Rhonda was heard saying, 'I can't wait' and afterwards said 'Fantastic, the worst bit was the climb to the top'.
Anna added after her abseil, 'I was a bit nervous but honestly it was great - I didn't look down though - the Oblivion at Alton Towers is much worse'.

Sasha Howard (right), from the Boat House Hotel in Holyhead, brought her daughter Claudia to have a go. She waited in eager anticipation but all was OK, Claudia loved it and said 'I'll definitely do that again, somewhere even higher next time'. Claudia & Sasha

Emma & Elwyn Elwyn Morgan and Emma Hiorns did not anticipate spending the Saturday morning in Llanfair PG abseiling. It was only when a friend phoned her from work for a sponsor that the idea was borne. It was also their first abseil and they would definitely do it again.
The event was supported by abseil specialists from the 'Lonely Mountain Outdoor Activities' team which included Dave McSorley(right) and Becky Fretwell(left), Matt Fox and Steve Parry located at the top of the column.
