Abseiling at The Marquess of Anglesey's Column
by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
In one of their many charity events the Cystic Fibrosis Trust organised a
sponsored abseil of the Marquess of Anglesey's Column, Llanfair PG, Anglesey
where many people turned out to support. Donna Harcombe - Wales Fund
Raising Manager - and Carol Law - North West Fund Raising Manager were the
main event organisers. Both Donna and Carol are 'CF Parents' which means they
are only too aware of the importance of these fund raising activities.

To offer their support 6 members of the Anglesey County Council took part,
including Councilor John Bowen Hughes, who is 72 years young - well done that
man, Gwyn Llewelyn who used to be an HTV presenter and The Chairman of
Anglesey Council, John Williams, who is also the President of the Cystic Fibrosis
Trust.

But alas, I'm afraid, we arrived too late to photograph their achievements, but
on behalf of the charity we would like to thank them, and everybody else who
had ago, for making this day a success. Below are some photos showing some
of the activities of the day.

I don't think so Comments from the team
Matthew - 'I've abseiled before, but on rock - this is different - the worst bit is going over the edge, but I want to try something even higher now.
Kelly - 'My first time - I'll definitely do it again!'
Kathy - 'I'm still shaking with the excitement'
British Gas - I dont think so
Thirty people turned up for the event raising £5000 for the charity - with still some money to come in. Thank you all.
