Denbigh Castle is located on a steep hill overlooking its town and enjoying views of the Vale of Clwyd and the hills of the Clwydian range.

Built, as part of Edward 1st's campaign against the Welsh, directly over the existing Welsh stronghold of Dafydd ap Gruffydd in 1282.
