The
history of the castle runs from the 1460's although the association with
the Williams family dates around 1690. The 1850's saw a decline in the
Williams family fortune, since which the castle has seen many changes of
ownership until Clwyd County Council developed the castle as a museum,
gallery and visitor attraction in the 1980's. |
