There are no trees on the course but don't let that fool you. The fairways are quite narrow and most are bordered by dense gorse so any wayward shots could wreck a promising score.

Each hole offers a different challenge, from the short 2nd, often described as a hole worthy of any true championship course, when real accuracy is required through to the elevated 10th which offers a 360 degree panoramic view over Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula

Holyhead is a popular seaside heathland course on Holy Island which is linked by a picturesque causeway to Anglesey. The course's location is also near the picturesque resort of Trearddur Bay and is therefore rather popular with holidaymakers from around the UK and also from Ireland, as Dublin is just a little over an hour away on the ferry.
